I met Sylver in our first job out of college in Pleasanton, California (just outside of San Francisco) in August of 1999. Though we had many friends in common we did not start dating for another 8 months. We spent the summer of 2000 getting to know each other better and falling in love in Northern California.

In the fall of 2000 we both moved back to Chicago and continued to see each other. Sylver moved to Memphis for a year in 2001 and to North Carolina to pursue her MBA degree in 2003. Though often seperated we continued to see each other as often as possible for 4 years.

In May of 2004 we spent a weekend in Asheville, North Carolina. It was there, beside a waterfall at Chimney Rock State Park, that I asked Sylver to marry me.

On June 10, 2005 we were married in Downer's Grove, IL. After our honeymoon in Australia we moved to Minneapolis, MN to start our new life together.
